Privacy Policy
Effective November 1, 2026
How this lead-generation platform collects, uses, shares and protects enquiry information.
Who handles your information
This policy applies to this website and its lead-intake service. The site operator administers the platform; contractors are separate service providers. For privacy questions, access or correction requests, withdrawal of consent, or a deletion request, use the Contact page to reach the platform administrator and identify the website and your enquiry reference, if available. Do not send identity documents unless a proportionate verification step is specifically requested.
Information collected
When you submit an enquiry, we collect the contact details you enter, property location, project description, measurements, budget and timing preferences, access arrangements, and any photographs, video or plans you choose to upload. Optional details may be left blank. Avoid uploading faces, identification, payment details, alarm codes, keys or unrelated personal information. Hosting and security services may process IP addresses, device/browser information, request logs and session identifiers.
Purposes and recipients
We use enquiry information to review the request, identify missing details, assess coverage, facilitate contact with a potential contractor and maintain an enquiry record. Your contact details, property information, scope and relevant uploads may be shared with one or more independent painting, handyman, property maintenance or other service providers relevant to the work and location you request. Those providers may contact you directly to assess the project, ask questions or offer a quotation. The number and identity of available providers may vary. Authorised platform administrators and service providers supporting enquiry delivery may also process the record. Contractors receiving an enquiry act under their own privacy responsibilities. We do not publish your project details openly. Sharing for unrelated marketing or another materially different purpose requires appropriate notice and consent.
Service providers and processing locations
Base44 provides application hosting, database and related platform services. Storage, email delivery and AI service providers may process information on behalf of the platform. Processing may occur outside your province or Canada and may be subject to the laws of the processing location. Access is limited according to role and operational need. No online service can promise absolute security.
AI, advertising and marketing
The website assistant provides general guidance and is not a confidential channel for sensitive property or personal information. Questions entered into the assistant may be sent to the platform's AI service to generate a response. Do not enter access codes, financial information or other sensitive details there. Advertising links take you to external websites with their own policies. Marketing permission is optional and separate from responding to your enquiry; you can withdraw it through the privacy contact.
Retention and your choices
Enquiry records are retained while needed for follow-up, operational records, dispute handling or applicable legal obligations. We do not promise an automatic deletion date that the system does not enforce. You may request access, correction or deletion, or withdraw consent, subject to lawful retention requirements. We may verify your identity before acting. Withdrawing permission may prevent further matching or follow-up. Contractors already given your information may need a separate request. You can raise unresolved privacy concerns with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Local drafts and updates
The enquiry form saves a draft on your device as you type. Use Delete draft or clear this site's browser storage to remove it; successful submission clears the saved draft. Clearing browser storage does not delete a submitted server record. See the Cookie Policy for storage details. Material changes to purposes or recipients will be disclosed before relying on new consent. The service is intended for adults authorised to make property enquiries.
Subcontractor applications
If you apply as a subcontractor, we collect the business and contact details, trades, service areas, experience, capacity, availability, portfolio information, and licence, insurance and WSIB declarations you submit. Administrators use them to assess eligibility, verify supporting evidence and contact you about relevant opportunities. Business profile details may be shared with prospective project clients when considering an introduction, as disclosed in the application consent. Applications and private review notes are not published as a directory. Do not submit banking information, identity documents or confidential insurance records through the public form. You may ask to correct, access or remove your application through the Contact page, subject to lawful retention requirements.
